Savi Security Privacy Policy
Savi Security, Inc. (“Savi,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) offers products designed to protect individuals from AI-enabled scams and fraud. This Privacy Policy describes how Savi processes personal information that we collect through our digital and online properties or services that link to this Privacy Policy (including as applicable, our member platform, mobile app, and electronic communications) as well as our marketing activities and other activities described in this Privacy Policy (collectively, the “Service”).
Personal information we collect
Information you provide to us. Personal information you may provide to us includes:
- Contact data, such as your first and last name, email address, billing and mailing addresses, and phone number.
- Demographic data, such as your city, state, country of residence, and postal code.
- Profile data, including the username and password that you set to establish an online account on the Service, and any information that you add to your account profile.
- SMS and call data, including content, sender information, and metadata of text messages routed to the Service for filtering and classification, as well as call screening data, caller identification information, voicemail transcriptions generated through the Service's call screening and voicemail features, and call recordings.
- Payment data needed to complete transactions, including payment card information or bank account number. We use a third-party vendor to directly collect and process your payment card information, as described further below.
- Communications data based on our exchanges with you, including when you contact us through the Service, communicate with us via email, phone, chat features, social media, or otherwise.
- User-generated content data, such as screenshots of text messages, emails, and other content or information that you submit to the Service for scam or fraud analysis, including associated metadata. Metadata includes information on how, when, where and by whom a piece of content was collected and how that content has been formatted or edited. Metadata also includes information that users can add or can have added to their content, such as keywords, geographical or location information, and other similar data.
- Other data not specifically listed here, which we will use as described in this Privacy Policy or as otherwise disclosed at the time of collection.
Data about others. If you agree to share your device contacts with us, we may collect contact information such as names and phone numbers from your device’s address book. We may also receive information about individuals who send you text messages, place calls, or leave voicemails that are routed to or analyzed by the Service.
Third-party sources. We may combine personal information we receive from you with personal information of the kinds identified above that we obtain from other sources, such as:
- Service providers and AI providers that provide services on our behalf or help us operate the Service or our business.
- Data analytics providers
Automatic data collection. We and our service providers may automatically log information about you, your computer, or mobile device, and your interaction over time with the Service, our communications, and other online services, such as:
- Device data, such as your computer or mobile device’s operating system type and version, manufacturer and model, browser type, screen resolution, RAM and disk size, CPU usage, device type (e.g., phone, tablet), IP address, unique identifiers, language settings, mobile device carrier, radio/network information (e.g., Wi-Fi, LTE, 3G), and general location information (e.g., derived from your IP address, such as city, state or geographic area).
- Communication interaction data, such as your interactions with our email, text, chat, or other communications (e.g., whether you open and/or forward emails). We may do this through use of pixel tags (which are also known as clear GIFs), which may be embedded invisibly in our emails, enabling us to detect if you have opened or forwarded a message.
- Online activity data, such as pages or screens you viewed, search history, how long you spent on a page or screen, the website you visited before browsing to the Service, navigation paths between pages or screens, information about your activity on a page or screen, access times and duration of access, and whether you have opened our emails or clicked links within them.
Tracking technologies. Some of the automatic collection described above is facilitated by the following technologies:
- Cookies, which are small text files that websites store on user devices and that allow web servers to record users’ web browsing activities and remember their submissions, preferences, credentials, and login status as they navigate a site. Cookies used on our sites include both “session cookies” that are deleted when a web browser session ends, “persistent cookies” that remain longer, “first party” cookies that we place and “third party” cookies that our service providers and other third parties place.
- Local storage technologies, like HTML5, that provide cookie-equivalent functionality but can store larger amounts of data on your device outside of your browser in connection with specific applications.
- Web beacons, also known as pixel tags or clear GIFs, which are used to demonstrate that a webpage or email was accessed or opened, or that certain content was viewed, clicked or forwarded.
- Chat technologies, such as those provided by third parties that employ cookies and software code to operate the chat features that you can use to communicate with us through the Service. These third parties may access and use information about webpages visited on our website, your IP address, your general geographic information (e.g., city, state), and other personal information you share through online chats to respond to your questions and for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.
- Session-replay technologies, such as those provided by third parties that employ software code to record users’ interactions with the Services in a manner that allows us to watch video replays of those user sessions, such as Posthog. The replays include users’ clicks, mobile app touches, mouse movements and scrolls during those sessions. These replays help us diagnose usability problems and identify areas for improvement.

For more information about cookies, including how to see what cookies have been set on your browser and how to manage and delete them, visit http://www.allaboutcookies.org .

Retention period for personal information. We generally retain personal information to fulfill the purposes for which we collected it, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements, to establish or defend legal claims, or for fraud prevention purposes. To determine the appropriate retention period for personal information, including Sensitive Personal Information, we may consider factors such as the length of time we have an ongoing relationship with you and provide services to you; the amount, nature, and sensitivity of the personal information; the potential risk of harm from unauthorized use or disclosure of your personal information; the purposes for which we process your personal information and whether we can achieve those purposes through other means; whether there is a legal obligation to which we are subject (for example, certain laws require us to keep records of your transactions for a certain period of time before we can delete them); whether retention is advisable in light of our legal position, such as in regard to applicable statutes of limitations, litigation or regulatory investigations; and applicable legal requirements. For example, we will retain your personal information for as long as you have an account with us or keep using our services, and the length of time thereafter during which we may have a legitimate need to reference your personal information to address issues that may arise. When we no longer require the personal information we have collected about you, we may either delete it or de-identify it.
